One day, I was daydreaming.

Sitting away in my bed...trying to fall asleep.

Relaxed, but restless.

And just as I think about how light can kill you...

the lamp flickers on.

It's once dark bulb is now bright with a fiery, pale yellow

glow.

And suddenly, its after me.

I turn, trying to stumble out of a mass of blankets and

sheets and pillows,

but it's got me.

The cord wrapped around my neck in a vice-like death choke.

I can feel my face turning purple.

Breath comes in a gasp, until there is no more.

I reach for the switch on the lamp...

My fingers reach nothing.

It was only a dream.

I have awoken to a bright morning,

and sparkling blue skies.

But my neck is sore..

and the lamp lies a few feet away...

broken and bent.

The glass making my carpet shine like a night sky.
